1. Executive Overview — Who is Yaoyao in Genshin Impact?

Yaoyao, cherished by the immortals of Jueyun Karst and the citizens of Liyue Harbor alike as the 'Burgeoning Grace,' is the youngest mortal disciple of Madame Ping (Streetward Rambler) and the junior martial sister of Xiangling. Despite her diminutive stature and young age, Yaoyao acts like an attentive, motherly elder to everyone she meets—reminding tall adults and ancient adepti alike to eat their vegetables on time, wear warm layers in the sea breeze, and never skip a night's rest.

Wielding a Dendro Vision, a spear taught to her by Madame Ping, and carrying a woven bamboo basket housing Yuegui—a magical rabbit mechanism crafted personally for her by Cloud Retainer (Xianyun)—Yaoyao tosses restorative White Jade Radishes across the battlefield. On this dedicated page, cosplayers, 3D modelers, and Genshin Impact lore scholars can inspect the official Yaoyao 3D model in real time while exploring her upbringing in Qingce Village, how the Adepti dote on her, her heartwarming friendship with Qiqi and Ganyu, and her Dendro healing and Bloom/Quicken combat mechanics.

02 · SPECIES, LINEAGE & ONTOLOGY · 种族与血脉考据

Yaoyao’s Species, Heritage & Biological Nature

Biologically, Yaoyao is a mortal human child born to loving parents in the peaceful mountain terraces of Qingce Village, yet her daily life, martial training, and spiritual circle are completely immersed in the world of Liyue's Adepti. When her parents noticed young Yaoyao's extraordinary empathy, attentiveness, and affinity for natural arts, they entrusted her education to Madame Ping (Streetward Rambler) in Liyue Harbor. Under Madame Ping's roof, Yaoyao became the cherished 'little treasure' of the entire adeptal community—receiving martial spear instruction from Ping, protective charms from Moon Carver and Mountain Shaper, and her signature mechanical companion Yuegui from Cloud Retainer.

This pure, selfless devotion to caring for all living creatures is also what earned Yaoyao her Dendro Vision at such a tender age. Unlike scholars who seek cosmic truth or warriors who chase glory, Yaoyao wished only to keep her master, her parents, and every traveler she met healthy and safe from illness or hunger. Combined with the adeptal illumination woven into her bamboo basket and Yuegui—which can multiply White Jade Radishes infinitely through Cloud Retainer's Jiguan arts—Yaoyao bridges mortal warmth and immortal blessing wherever she walks.

03 · HISTORICAL BACKGROUND & ORIGINS · 身世背景与过往历史

The Origins and Historical Journey of Yaoyao

Born in the picturesque bamboo groves of Qingce Village, Yaoyao grew up surrounded by affectionate grandparents, village elders, and the gentle rhythm of rural Liyue life. Even as a toddler, the little girl never threw tantrums or demanded toys; instead, she toddled around carrying small towels to wipe her parents' brows in the fields and shared her snacks with hungry finches and stray puppies. Recognizing her rare spiritual clarity, Madame Ping welcomed her to Yujing Terrace in Liyue Harbor as her live-in apprentice alongside her older martial sister, Xiangling.

When Yaoyao first accompanied Madame Ping to Mt. Aocang to visit Cloud Retainer, the famously aloof crane adeptus was immediately enchanted by the polite, rosy-cheeked child who worried whether the mountain mist was too damp for Cloud Retainer's feathers. To ensure that the young disciple would never be defenseless while gathering medicinal herbs or delivering messages across Liyue, Cloud Retainer crafted Yuegui—a soft, plush-like mechanical rabbit infused with adeptal energy—and tucked it inside her woven bamboo basket so it could protect her and toss healing radishes whenever danger approached.

Today, Yaoyao splits her time between studying poetry, spear-craft, and herbal medicine with Madame Ping at Yujing Terrace, visiting her parents in Qingce Village, running errands aboard Beidou's anchored flagship the Alcor (where she lectures the rugged sailors on eating fresh greens to prevent scurvy), and checking in on Ganyu at Yuehai Pavilion.

04 · PSYCHOLOGICAL PROFILE & BONDS · 性格特征、行事准则与人际关系

Yaoyao’s Personality, Ideals, and Relationships in Teyvat

Yaoyao's defining personality trait is her earnest, precocious 'little caretaker' nature. Although she is one of the youngest characters in Liyue, Yaoyao fusses over everyone around her like a seasoned matriarch: scolding Ganyu gently whenever the half-qilin works past midnight without eating dinner, reminding her senior sister Xiangling not to taste-test raw wild mushrooms, and packing medicinal pouches for adventurers heading toward The Chasm. Her kindness is completely sincere and uncalculated, making it impossible for even the sternest figures to refuse her advice.

Among her peers in Liyue Harbor, Yaoyao's closest best friend is Qiqi, the zombie herb-gatherer of Bubu Pharmacy. While many children are frightened by Qiqi's pale skin and forgetful demeanor, Yaoyao adores Qiqi wholeheartedly—holding her hand to look for cute finches, writing down reminders in Qiqi's notebook, and promising to build a mechanical finch toy for her. Toward her master Madame Ping and 'Auntie' Xianyun (Cloud Retainer), Yaoyao shows deep filial piety, acting as the peacemaker whenever the two ancient adepti bicker over music versus mechanics.

Yaoyao also looks up fondly to her senior martial sister Xiangling and her 'Big Sister' Yanfei, frequently accompanying them around Chihu Rock. Even Captain Beidou treats Yaoyao like a VIP guest whenever the little girl boards the Alcor with a basket of fresh Qingce vegetables, ordering her entire pirate crew to stand at attention and finish every last bite of their greens.

05 · COMBAT ABILITIES & ELEMENTAL MASTERY · 战斗能力、技能机制与神之眼权能

Yaoyao’s Combat Capabilities, Elemental Authority & Kit Breakdown

In both canon lore and battlefield gameplay, Yaoyao is a premier Dendro Polearm healer and off-field Dendro applicator whose mechanical companion Yuegui blankets the field in healing and damaging White Jade Radishes for Bloom, Nilou Bountiful Core, Hyperbloom, and Aggravate teams.

Normal & Charged Attack Choreography

Through Toss 'N' Turn Spear, Yaoyao executes up to four earnest polearm strikes passed down from Madame Ping's adeptal spear style, finishing with a determined two-handed thrust that nearly pulls the tiny lancer off her feet.

Elemental Skill & Tactical Deployment

Casting her Elemental Skill, Raphanus Sky Cluster, summons Cloud Retainer's mechanical rabbit, Yuegui: Throwing Mode, onto the battlefield for 10 seconds. Yuegui hops cheerily and throws White Jade Radishes every second that explode on impact: if the active character's HP is above 70%, Yuegui automatically targets nearby enemies for AoE Dendro damage; if the active character's HP is 70% or lower, Yuegui targets the character to restore HP scaling with Yaoyao's Max HP.

Elemental Burst & Supreme Manifestation

When unleashing her Elemental Burst, Moonjade Descent, Yaoyao follows her master's emergency instructions to enter the Adeptal Legacy state for 5 seconds while summoning up to three additional Yuegui: Jumping Mode companions at once. During Adeptal Legacy, Yaoyao gains +15% Movement SPD and +50% Dendro RES, and every White Jade Radish thrown by the quartet of Yuegui simultaneously deals AoE Dendro damage AND heals the entire party—all Party-wide healing scaling with Yaoyao's Max HP.

Lore Strength, Passives & Signature Synergy

Through her passive talents Starscatter and In Others' Shoes, sprinting or jumping while in the Adeptal Legacy state causes Yaoyao to continuously toss extra White Jade Radishes out of her basket at nearby foes, and any character hit by a White Jade Radish explosion receives an additional 5 seconds of continuous HP regeneration every second. Meanwhile, Treading Eaves Like Slippery Leaves prevents Crystalflies and small critters from being startled when Yaoyao approaches.
