1. Executive Overview — Who is Xinyan in Genshin Impact?

Xinyan, celebrated by the youth of Liyue Harbor and international music fans as the 'Blazing Riff,' is the sole rock 'n' roll pioneer in all of Liyue—a fearless, self-taught guitarist and songwriter who refuses to let traditional social prejudices silence her music. Building her own custom four-stringed rock instrument reinforced with Pyro mechanics and steel blades, Xinyan stages explosive open-air concerts at Chihu Rock and the harbor docks, turning her stage into a sea of pyrotechnics before the Millelith patrol even finishes cheering.

Wielding a Pyro Vision and a heavy Claymore alongside her flame-spitting guitar, Xinyan combines multi-tiered Pyro shielding with high-impact Physical and Pyro burst chords. On this dedicated page, cosplayers, 3D modelers, and Genshin Impact lore scholars can inspect the official Xinyan 3D model in real time while exploring her humble upbringing, how she earned her Pyro Vision atop Mt. Tianheng, her surprising talent for embroidery and housekeeping, her deep friendship with Yun Jin and Xiangling, and her Sweeping Fervor combat mechanics.

02 · SPECIES, LINEAGE & ONTOLOGY · 种族与血脉考据

Xinyan’s Species, Heritage & Biological Nature

Biologically and culturally, Xinyan is a mortal human born to a working-class family in Liyue Harbor whose rebellious punk-rock styling—spiked hair buns, studded leather cuffs, and fierce golden eyes—often causes timid passersby and crying children to mistake her for an intimidating gang leader. In reality, Xinyan's spiky appearance is a deliberate artistic statement combined with practical stagecraft, masking one of the warmest, most maternal, and domestically skilled personalities in Liyue.

For Xinyan, rock 'n' roll—a musical genre originating in Fontaine that conservative Liyue critics initially dismissed as 'unrefined noise'—is the purest spiritual expression of defiance against fate and orthodoxy. When she climbed to the summit of Mt. Tianheng as a young musician to ask why the world judged people by superficial labels rather than the fire in their souls, Xinyan resolved to forge an instrument of wood, string, and flame that would awaken the rebellious spirit in every listener's heart. As she struck her very first roaring chord over the clouds of Liyue Harbor, a blazing Pyro Vision descended onto her instrument, christening her under the Fila Ignium—the Strings of Fire constellation.

03 · HISTORICAL BACKGROUND & ORIGINS · 身世背景与过往历史

The Origins and Historical Journey of Xinyan

Growing up in a modest household in Liyue Harbor, Xinyan was raised by parents who hoped their daughter would conform to the traditional expectations of a quiet, graceful Liyue lady—learning needlework, cooking, and gentle folk songs so she could secure a respectable marriage. Remarkably, Xinyan actually excelled at all of those domestic arts: she became an extraordinary seamstress capable of embroidering delicate silk flowers, a talented home cook who makes top-tier boiled fish and fried chicken, and a meticulous housekeeper who keeps her wooden attic spotless.

However, when Xinyan first heard the raw, electrifying rhythms of Fontainian rock 'n' roll brought to Liyue Harbor by foreign sailors, something awakened deep within her soul. Realizing that true music should liberate the downhearted rather than merely entertain the wealthy, Xinyan secretly saved every Mora she could find to study Fontainian instruments and combined them with the traditional Liyue ruan lute to build her signature battle-guitar—complete with hidden Pyro vents and a crescent axe-blade along the body.

In the early days of her street performances, conservative elders scoffed at her loud riffs and the Millelith frequently shut down her unpermitted stages due to fire hazards. Yet Xinyan never backed down: she rebuilt her burned stages overnight, tailored her own flame-resistant rock costume by hand, and gradually won over dockworkers, sailors of the Crux Fleet, and even the traditional opera star Yun Jin, until her concerts became one of the most anticipated highlights of Liyue's Lantern Rite.

04 · PSYCHOLOGICAL PROFILE & BONDS · 性格特征、行事准则与人际关系

Xinyan’s Personality, Ideals, and Relationships in Teyvat

Xinyan embodies a heartwarming contrast between fierce rock-star charisma on stage and gentle, big-sisterly care off stage. Because her sharp gaze and naturally tall posture tend to frighten small children whenever she frowns while thinking about lyrics, Xinyan spends hours practicing softer smiles in the mirror and sewing cute cloth dolls for neighborhood kids. She is fiercely loyal, straightforward, and incapable of abandoning a friend in trouble—whether charging into a shifting Inazuman domain to help a lost paper shikigami or diving into the mirages of the Golden Apple Archipelago to comfort her companions.

Within Liyue Harbor, Xinyan's closest soulmate in music is Yun Jin, the director of the Yun-Han Opera Troupe. Although Yun Jin performs classical Liyue opera and Xinyan plays rebellious rock 'n' roll, the two deeply admire each other's artistic authenticity; Yun Jin frequently sneaks out of rehearsals in disguise to headbang in the front row of Xinyan's concerts (often dragging Xingqiu and Chongyun along as an alibi), and the two spend afternoons drinking tea and sewing together at Xinyan's house.

Xinyan is also a beloved regular at Wanmin Restaurant, where she and Xiangling trade recipes and test spicy rock-inspired dishes, and a favorite performer aboard Beidou's flagship, the Alcor. During her travels across Teyvat, Xinyan has forged memorable friendships with Kazuha, Mona, and Fischl in the Golden Apple Archipelago, with Tartaglia and Shiki Taishou in Inazuma's Mystic Onmyou Chamber, and with Hu Tao—with whom she co-performed the legendary Lantern Rite rap-rock anthem alongside Venti and company.

05 · COMBAT ABILITIES & ELEMENTAL MASTERY · 战斗能力、技能机制与神之眼权能

Xinyan’s Combat Capabilities, Elemental Authority & Kit Breakdown

In both canon lore and battlefield gameplay, Xinyan is a hybrid Pyro Claymore shielder and Physical burst DPS who uses her heavy broadsword and custom rock guitar to generate multi-level flame shields while shredding enemy Physical Resistance.

Normal & Charged Attack Choreography

Through Dance on Fire, Xinyan swings her heavy claymore in up to four wide, rhythmic cleaves that channel the tempo of a heavy drumbeat, while her Charged Attack spins her in a continuous whirlwind slash.

Elemental Skill & Tactical Deployment

Casting her Elemental Skill, Sweeping Fervor, causes Xinyan to brandish her guitar in a wide arc, dealing Pyro damage to nearby opponents and forming a Pyro shield whose absorption scales with Xinyan's DEF. Depending on whether Sweeping Fervor hits 0–1, 2, or 3+ enemies (reduced by 1 via her first ascension passive), the shield upgrades to Shield Level 3: Rave, which pulses intermittently with AoE Pyro damage.

Elemental Burst & Supreme Manifestation

When unleashing her Elemental Burst, Riff Revolution, Xinyan strums her guitar with explosive force, launching nearby enemies back for high-multiplier Physical damage before igniting the stage with erupting geysers of Pyro flames that deal continuous AoE Pyro damage around her. At Constellation 2, Riff Revolution's Physical burst hit has a guaranteed 100% CRIT Rate and automatically deploys a Level 3: Rave shield.

Lore Strength, Passives & Signature Synergy

Through her passive talents 'The Show Goes On, Even Without an Audience...' and '...Now That's Rock 'N' Roll!', Xinyan needs one fewer enemy hit to reach her Level 3 Rave shield, and any character protected by Sweeping Fervor's shield gains +15% Physical DMG Bonus (further enhanced by Constellation 4's -15% Physical RES shred). Meanwhile, A Rad Recipe grants a 12% chance to double DEF-boosting dishes.

Examining the official Xinyan 3D model in our interactive WebGL studio highlights her handmade punk-meets-Liyue stage couture. Her silhouette is defined by her dark brown hair tied into two large, spiky twin-buns secured with red-and-black spiked rings, a sleeveless crimson-and-black cropped vest with a tall upturned collar, and dark shorts paired with asymmetrical fishnet and crimson stockings. Most notably, she carries a square woven ruan-drum and her four-stringed crescent-bladed rock guitar strapped across her lower back, with her Pyro Vision mounted directly onto the drum's frame.

When crafting a cosplay or rigging a 3D model of Xinyan, standard 2D artwork obscures how her guitar and back drum attach to her waist sash or how the silk ribbons and metal studs are arranged across her shoulder blades. Using the Sub-Mesh Disassembly controls in the 3D viewer above, cosplayers and prop builders can isolate Xinyan's back guitar and drum sub-meshes or hide them to inspect her vest seams, studded arm cuffs, and platform rock boots in 4-view orthographic turnaround sheets.
