1. Executive Overview — Who is Freminet in Genshin Impact?

Freminet, known across the waterways of the Court of Fontaine as a quiet and peerless deep-sea diver, is a four-star Cryo claymore wielder and a core member of the House of the Hearth alongside his older foster siblings, Lyney and Lynette. Unlike the flamboyant stage magicians who thrive under the spotlights of the Opera Epiclese, Freminet shuns public attention, finding solace only beneath the silent, cerulean waves of Fontaine's underwater trenches or at his workbench repairing delicate clockwork mechanisms. Accompanying him on every dive and battlefield is Pers, a hand-crafted clockwork penguin automaton that serves as his emotional anchor.

Behind his timid, conflict-averse demeanor lies a survivor of the brutal previous regime of the House of the Hearth under the former Knave, Crucabena, before Arlecchino overthrew her and gave the orphans a true home. On this page, cosplayers, 3D modelers, and lore researchers can inspect the official Freminet 3D model in real time while exploring his transition from a reluctant assassin to a compassionate diver, the symbolism of his diving helmet, his dual Cryo-Physical Pers Timer combat mechanics, and his pivotal bravery inside the Fortress of Meropide.

02 · SPECIES, LINEAGE & ONTOLOGY · 种族与血脉考据

Freminet’s Species, Heritage & Biological Nature

Biologically and ontologically, Freminet is an ordinary mortal human born in Fontaine, carrying the Ousia alignment of Fontaine's dual Pneumousia arkhe system. Although he possesses no non-human bloodline or Abyssal transformation, his identity is deeply intertwined with two mechanical extensions of his psyche: his heavy brass-and-steel diving helmet and his miniature clockwork penguin, Pers. Whenever the emotional pressures of surface life, social confrontation, or traumatic memories threaten to overwhelm him, slipping on his diving helmet creates an instant acoustic and psychological barrier that allows him to focus with icy precision.

Furthermore, the story of how Freminet obtained his Cryo Vision reveals the profound spiritual weight of his identity within the House of the Hearth. During the corrupt rule of the previous Director, Crucabena, he initially believed he had been awarded a Vision as a badge of honor, only to discover later that the gem Crucabena gave him was a counterfeit prop designed to manipulate his loyalty. It was only when he wept at the bottom of the sea after learning the truth of his mother's sacrifice—and resolved to protect his remaining family with his own hands—that a genuine Cryo Vision crystallized beside him in the ocean depths.

03 · HISTORICAL BACKGROUND & ORIGINS · 身世背景与过往历史

The Origins and Historical Journey of Freminet

Born into an impoverished household in Fontaine, Freminet grew up cherishing bedtime fairy tales and tinkering with discarded gears alongside his loving mother. However, when crushing debts to ruthless loan sharks threatened to result in the child being seized as collateral, his mother made an agonizing choice: she surrendered her young son to the House of the Hearth, then run by the cruel Fatui Harbinger Crucabena, and told the boy that she was abandoning him because he was a burden so that he would not try to run back to her and fall into the creditors' hands.

Inside the orphanage, Crucabena exploited the boy's gentle nature and terror of abandonment, forcing him to carry out covert underwater eliminations while lying to him that his mother had sold him out of greed. To cope with the guilt and horror of these missions, Freminet retreated inward, constructing the clockwork penguin Pers to hold the tears he was forbidden to shed and retreating to the ocean floor where no human voices could reach him.

His life changed forever when Peruere rose up, slew Crucabena, and assumed the mantle of 'Father' (Arlecchino). Under Arlecchino's leadership, the abusive survival trials were abolished, and Arlecchino handed Freminet the locket left behind by his biological mother, revealing the truth of her selfless sacrifice to save him. Welcomed warmly as a younger brother by Lyney and Lynette, Freminet finally found a family worth surfacing for.

04 · PSYCHOLOGICAL PROFILE & BONDS · 性格特征、行事准则与人际关系

Freminet’s Personality, Ideals, and Relationships in Teyvat

In everyday interactions, Freminet is soft-spoken, self-effacing, and acutely sensitive to the moods of everyone around him. He prefers listening to speaking, worries constantly about disappointing Lyney, Lynette, or Father, and finds comfort in the predictable honesty of clockwork springs and marine wildlife, which never lie or betray their owners. When immersed in repairing toys for children or reading fairy tales like the story of Prince Thelxie, his gentle empathy shines through effortlessly.

Within the House of the Hearth, Freminet looks up to Lyney and Lynette with deep sibling devotion, acting as the technical backbone behind their stage props and underwater reconnaissance. Although he holds immense reverence and a trace of lingering nervousness toward Arlecchino, he recognizes that 'Father' genuinely protects the orphans from the cruelty of the world, and during the crisis of the fading hearth memories, he stood alongside Lyney and Lynette to defend their comrades' right to live.

Outside the Fatui, Freminet has cultivated warm friendships across Fontaine. He collaborates with the journalist Charlotte and the illustrator Zuria during community projects, assists Clorinde when extreme medical rescue prevented his drowning in the Primordial Sea water conduit, and shares an appreciative rapport with clockwork engineers throughout the Court of Fontaine.

05 · COMBAT ABILITIES & ELEMENTAL MASTERY · 战斗能力、技能机制与神之眼权能

Freminet’s Combat Capabilities, Elemental Authority & Kit Breakdown

In combat, Freminet is a versatile hybrid DPS who seamlessly weaves Cryo elemental strikes with devastating Shatter and Physical claymore blows. By synchronizing his heavy greatsword swings with the pressurized clockwork gauge of Pers, Freminet adapts his damage profile on the fly depending on how much pressure his penguin companion builds.

Normal & Charged Attack Choreography

Through Flowing Eddies, Freminet swings his claymore in up to four sweeping physical strikes modeled after underwater current propulsion. Because his Ousia arkhe manifests through Spiritbreath Thorns during his skill sequences, Freminet can neutralize Pneuma-aligned clockwork meka and Primordial bosses with ease.

Elemental Skill & Tactical Deployment

His signature Elemental Skill, Pressurized Floe, performs an upward Cryo slash and deploys Pers into the Pers Timer state for ten seconds. While Pers Timer is active, every Normal Attack Freminet lands also releases a wave of frost and increases Pers's Pressure Level from zero up to Level Four; triggering the skill again executes a Shattering Pressure strike whose Cryo-to-Physical ratio shifts based on the accumulated Pressure Level.

Elemental Burst & Supreme Manifestation

When activating Shadowhunter's Ambush, Freminet dons his iconic full-face brass diving helmet and unleashes a wave of untouchable sub-zero cold, resetting the cooldown of Pressurized Floe and entering the Subnautical Hunter mode. In this state, Pressurized Floe's cooldown is cut by 70 percent and Normal Attacks generate double the Pers Pressure while dealing 200 percent of their original frost wave damage.

Lore Strength, Passives & Signature Synergy

Supported by his passive talents Saturation Deep Dive and Parallel Condensers, Freminet shortens skill cooldowns further when executing pre-Level-Four Shattering Pressure and boosts his Shattering Pressure damage by 40 percent after triggering a Shatter reaction. His exploration passive, Deepwater Navigation, reduces aquatic stamina consumption for the entire party by 35 percent.

06 · KEY STORY EVENTS & CHRONOLOGY · 关键剧情事件与时代转折点

Key Events and Defining Moments in Freminet’s Story

Event #1: To the Stars Shining in the Depths (Fortress of Meropide)

Archon Quest Chapter IV: Act III & Act IV

Infiltrating the underwater Fortress of Meropide alongside Lyney and Lynette to investigate Childe's disappearance and the Forbidden Zone, Freminet risked his life by diving down an external submerged pipe when Childe's trail led outside the prison walls. Despite inhaling diluted Primordial Sea water that nearly dissolved his consciousness, his heroic dive exposed the rising Primordial Sea crisis before Clorinde rescued him from the depths.

Event #2: Thelxie's Fantastic Adventures

Version 4.2 Flagship Chronicle

Hired by a grieving mother named Zuria whose young son had drowned and left her suffering from Loneliness Syndrome, Freminet lovingly built and upgraded a clockwork water-imp penguin named 'Prince Thelxie' and painted an entire picture book to help her heal through fairy-tale therapy. The story highlighted Freminet's extraordinary emotional gentleness and mechanical artistry.

Event #3: When the Hearth-Flame Goes Out (Ignis Purgatorius)

Story Quest: Ignis Purgatorius Act I

When the phantom remnants of Clervie surfaced within the House of the Hearth and Arlecchino tested the resolve of her successor candidates, Freminet stood shoulder to shoulder with Lyney, Lynette, and the Traveler in a fierce battle against the Knave to protect their dissenting siblings, ultimately witnessing Arlecchino's mercy through her bottled flames.

His Ousia-aligned Fontaine Cryo Vision is mounted prominently on the back of his left shoulder strap, while his pale blonde hair frames his soft blue eyes and faint freckles.

For cosplayers and prop makers, Freminet's character model offers two particularly valuable reference layers: the intricate back harness of his sailor jacket and the mechanical geometry of his diving helmet and Pers automaton. Using the Sub-Mesh Disassembly panel in the 3D viewer above, makers can isolate or hide Freminet's capelet collar and hair to examine the exact brass buckle placement, shoulder Vision housing, and boot sole treads in a 4-view orthographic turnaround.
