Prior to the purification of Irminsul in Archon Quest Chapter III: Act V, Eleazar manifested on the Homayani heiress's body as hardened, dark-gray elemental scales and progressive nerve numbness, hidden carefully beneath white bandages wrapped around her arms and wrists. Because Eleazar was fundamentally an expression of Forbidden Knowledge eroding the world tree's ley line roots, no conventional Amurta medicine could cure the afflicted noblewoman, leaving her with fragile physical stamina.

Following Lesser Lord Kusanali's triumph over the False God and the complete erasure of Forbidden Knowledge from Irminsul, Dunyarzad experienced a miraculous physiological restoration. Although she still carries the refined, delicate frame of a scholar-noblewoman who spent her formative years indoors, the young patron now enjoys a healthy mortal constitution, enabling her to walk freely through the Grand Bazaar, travel to Port Ormos, and spearhead charitable initiatives across Sumeru.

Growing up in the opulent Homayani estate in Sumeru City, young Dunyarzad watched from her bedroom window as other children played freely while debilitating Eleazar flares kept her isolated behind silk curtains. During one particularly dark night when the pain and fear of imminent death overwhelmed her, a gentle, disembodied voice spoke to the bedridden child in her mind. Though the voice never claimed a grand title, it comforted the terrified girl, answered her questions with patient wisdom, and inspired her to live every remaining day without regret. Years later, she realized that this mysterious comforter was none other than Lesser Lord Kusanali herself, reaching out from her confinement in the Sanctuary of Surasthana.

Determined to honor the young goddess who had saved her spirit, Dunyarzad defied the cynical apathy of the Akademiya elders and dedicated her personal allowance—and even sold her most prized family heirloom—to fund a grand Sabzeruz Festival celebrating Lesser Lord Kusanali's birth. To protect her during secret errands outside the family manor, her parents hired the formidable Eremite mercenary Dehya ('Flame-Mane'), sparking an unlikely and deeply genuine bond between the sheltered noble lady and the desert warrior.

During the Sabzeruz Festival samsara orchestrated by Grand Sage Azar to harvest dreams via the Akasha Terminal, Dunyarzad pushed her frail body to exhaustion day after repeating day so that Nilou's Dance of Sabzeruz could be performed. Even as her consciousness nearly dissolved under the strain of the repeating dream loops, Nahida expended her own dwindling divine energy to preserve Dunyarzad's soul until the Traveler shattered the samsara. Once Irminsul was healed and Eleazar vanished from Teyvat, Dunyarzad recovered fully and later helped organize the joyous city-wide Sabzeruz birthday celebration that Nahida had long deserved.
